Our expert knowledge will help ensure that you get the right equipment to meet your needs, and once on our books we will continue to support you on an ongoing basis, be there to help, and to maintain the wheelchair we have issued to you.

Using the Service

We work to an agreed eligibility criteria, which sets out what types of equipment we are able to provide and in what circumstances.

All referrals are looked at by our therapy team, and prioritised. A member of our team will contact you to find out more about you and your mobility needs, and to check if you meet the criteria. You may require a face-to-face assessment; this may be in our clinic, or in your own home or school. At this appointment we will discuss what equipment you might need, trial some equipment and agree what we can provide that will meet your mobility needs (plus any other postural and pressure care items).

The equipment is then ordered, and when ready will be handed over to you and adjusted to suit as appropriate by a member of the therapy team.
