Integrated Community Equipment Service

Today the Integrated Community Equipment Service is housed at Inspire Community Centre, Slade Green, where it located to a purpose built warehouse in December 2012.

The Warehouse which includes a Mezzanine deck and dedicated decontamination area complete with a multi stage Turbex washing chamber, holds a wide range of disability items to assist Service Users to live at home with any additional support needed that can be met by the use of specialist equipment.

In 2003 the Equipment Service Integrated with NHS Health Partners to provide a more complex range of equipment, a cost effective move which has proved to be very successful, and continues to evolve around changing trends, and current demands, which the NHS and Social Services are experiencing.

In August 2010 the Equipment Service was transferred to Inspire Community Trust where it has continued to grow and develop.  Until December 2012 the service was located at Thames Rd Depot in Crayford waiting until the new warehouse was completed, and the service then relocated to Slade Green in December 2012.

Disability equipment is given on loan following an assessment by a Social Care or Health Care professional.

Service Users may also have the option to purchase items of equipment via The Living Solution Shop, on site at Slade Green. You can request an assessment and try before you buy, to ensure the equipment is the right choice for your needs.

See Living Solutions Home Page or contact 0203 045 5100

On average our team of  drivers and 1 support person deliver to 9000 service users per annum and in excess of 16.000 items of disability equipment. Some items are fitted or assembled by the drivers at the Service Users home.  We also collect and refurbish approx. 61% - 70% of equipment.  With prior arrangement Service Users or their representatives can collect equipment in person, Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 16.30.

Many thanks for your help. I found the service excellent and your kind attitude was very much appreciated.

Came for an assessment but was also helped with a walking stick and information on attendance allowance for us. For us, personally, you could not improve your service to us. You all attended my mother in a kind, friendly and professional way.
