Experienced Cook

25 hours per week Monday-Friday

Inspire Community Trust is seeking to employ an experienced Cook  to join our brilliant team of staff to provide high quality catering services for Adults with Physical Impairment.

  • You must have the relevant NVQ training and/or good experience of cooking a range of quality dishes including Ethnic food.
  • Knowledge and skill of providing food with special dietary requirements would be an additional advantage.
  • Maintaining and cleaning of the kitchen areas.
  • Ordering food and supplies for the kitchen
  • Cooking meals and snacks
  • Cashing up the daily cash register/passing the takings to the main office.

Compassion with a positive and caring attitude for supporting people is essential for this unique position.  Inspire is based in Slade Green and well-connected with main bus routes.

Blue Badge and Freedom Pass Service Co-ordinator

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £ 21,456

Due to the current post holder’s retirement we are seeking a motivated individual to co-ordinate the Blue Badge and Freedom Pass Service for Bexley residents, which is provided by inspire Community trust on behalf of Bexley Council.

The key roles of this post are to ensure that the blue badge process is as efficient as possible, and that each badge is produced within agreed timescales, and to co-ordinate and administer the delivery of the letters of authority for successful freedom pass applications .

You will need to have experience of working in such a service, with an understanding of disability. You must have excellent administrative and communication skills, and show good attention to detail. You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of an administration assistant working in the team, and will also have an overview of the whole process from receipt of application to issue of the badge / freedom pass.

This post will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

Wheelchair Therapists

Bexley Wheelchair Service – 2 posts 

Full or Part Time

Band 5 – 6 Equivalent £22,000 - £35,000 pro-rata (according to experience)

Band 6 – 7 Equivalent £26,000 - £41,000 pro-rata (according to experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists with an interest in wheelchair and postural assessment to join our team at Bexley Wheelchair Service.  Previous wheelchair service experience is preferable, however experience working with adults and/or children with neurological disabilities, and/or with working in the community (either at post-graduate or student level) is required. Duties will involve carrying out assessments and prescribing wheelchairs and associated postural and pressure management equipment to adults and young people who have a wide range of medical conditions, working in clinic or in client’s homes, schools or day services.  We work closely with other professionals in the community involved in a clients care, and also with company reps in order to find the best mobility equipment solution to meet the individuals clinical needs.

You will need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, keen to develop skills in this area. You will work as part of the MDT, alongside Therapists, Rehabilitation Engineer, Technician and clerical staff

Salary and grade is negotiable according to experience.
